I am so excited to announce that I am a contributing artist to rukristin’s latest FREE workshop.. Find Your Voice! This workshop is the perfect project for me this summer and I am looking forward to all the fun people I will be meeting in the community! So each week I’ll be sharing my work here as well as in some of the workshops PDFs. You will also be getting glimpses of my progress in this workshop on my instagram feed. I hope you will join us!
Here is what it is all about:
The Find Your Voice Summer Storytelling Workshop kicks off today and to celebrate we’re having a blog hop with lots of giveaways! We’re going to have a blast this summer and we really hope you play along!
This workshop is about finding your storytelling voice. You are an awesome person with amazing stories, so this summer we’re going to work together to find the most genuine and authentic way for you to tell those stories.
This workshop is for everyone! You definitely don’t need to be a scrapbooker or paper-crafter to play along. We’ll be telling stories through pictures, photographs, social media, prose, and more. The only thing you need is a willingness to become the author of your own story and the courage to step outside of your comfort zone.
What Find Your Voice Means to Me:
As someone living abroad my life is never boring, I am never short of adventures and stories to tell. Thats why I scrapbook in the first place… but lately I have found that in the ever increasing craziness that is my life, my stories are being neglected. I have been rushing to get projects done or photos scrapped for deadlines and have been giving little thought to sharing the story. I knew the moment I saw Kristen begin talking about this workshop it was something I really needed to do for myself. I am planning on using this workshop as a breather, a chance to slow down and reflect on the stories that I need to tell now… those that will be easily forgotten and those that I will regret were never recorded. I need to stop and take in what my life is all about right now at this moment and really document all the stories that I feel really highlight what mine and my hubbies lives are right this instant. I know we wont be living in Hong Kong forever, and who knows where we will be…but I do know that I want to look back in 20 years and be able to remember and feel what life was like before kids living in one of the worlds craziest cities.
Join us this summer as we work together to find the most genuine and authentic way for you to tell your stories the way you want them to be told. We’ll be telling stories through pictures, photographs, social media, prose, and more. The only thing you need is a willingness to become the author of your own story and the courage to step outside of your comfort zone.
There are so many great designers participating! Go on and see what they have to say about this workshop!
